What type of donations do we accept?
GiftTheGame will gladly accept any new or gently used sporting equipment and gear such as bats, gloves, cleats, helmets, athletic shoes, rackets, and deflated balls for a variety of sports.
We also will gladly accept cash contributions through PayPal which will be used to help cover the cost of transportation and shipping of our donated items.
GiftTheGame.org is a nonprofit unincorporated association. As a charitable nonprofit with less than $5,000 in annual revenues, GiftTheGame does not need to file Form 1023 for recognition of exemption under IRS code section 501(c)(3). Contributions to GiftTheGame are still Federally tax deductible for the donor. Please check your local state regulations for income tax deductibility in your home state.
How does it work?
We contact you after you've filled out the donation form to organize collection of the donated equipment and to discuss where the gear will be distributed.
Then we contact our liaison at the given community and coordinate the delivery.
